Two Area High Schools Awarded $50,000 Grant from The H.S. Lopez Family Foundation for Youth Entrepreneurs, Reports KVOA News4

Alta Vista High School in Tucson and the Mission Heights Preparatory School in Casa Grande will be the recipients of a $50,000 grant from The H.S. Lopez Family Foundation, according to KVOA. The grant will provide funding for Youth Entrepreneurs, a national non-profit organization.

Arizona Daily Star Reports on New Kitchen at Sister Jose Women’s Shelter Funded by a Grant From The H.S. Lopez Family Foundation

The grand opening of a new commercial kitchen at Sister Jose Women’s Shelter raised nearly $200,000. Thanks to a matching $85,000 grant, including a lead grant from The H.S. Lopez Family Foundation, the new kitchen is expected to prepare more than 30,000 meals a year for homeless women, according to an Arizona Daily Star report.
